  • About

Since childhood I have loved to draw; since the late teenage years I have loved to write. When it came time for college, I couldn’t decide what I wanted to be: a starving artist or a starving writer. So I figured I go for both. Three years later, I graduated magna cum laude with a BA in English and an Art minor. For the past few years I have worked as a graphic designer, and I published my first book, Jaden Baker, on March 15, 2011. That was a happy day. Originally from California, I moved up to the Pacific Northwest in the winter of 2008 in search of adventure. What a ride it has been. © All writing found on this blog copyrighted to Courtney Kirchoff. All Rights Reserved.

Darkness Takes Over

When I moved up from sunny California, I experienced something different, which I relive every year. I moved up here in February when the skies were clear, the air crisp. Even though it snowed in April, while I was stringing a fence for Dante, the real change didn’t happen until summer.
